One word awsome, once you have tryed one you wont go back, as for spikes havent tryed that yet, but if i have spikes on it usualy a take down so no real need, but great on reduction work, make sure you take off the atatchment on the top of the skabard as your rope will get cought up between that and your leg pulling the saw ouy every now and again and that will get right up your nose if your at the top of a tree , hope that puts a bit of light on the point for your

Does anyone use this???? if so is it any good or does it get in the way, also does it fit over spikes????

they are excellent, great with spikes as well, just reach round and its there. best 20quid i have spent in ages. i was working in a small rowan though the other day, and it was a bit of a pain, kept getting stuck behind small branches so i just put it on my thigh instead:001_smile:

I've got one and think its crap, the silky I use kept on falling out and hitting the deck with my groundies below:thumbdown:. I carried on using my folding one on a bit of pull cord never fails me, each to their own eh!

I gaffer tape my scabbard to the saw pod to keep it straight so it doesnt ride up and stop the silky scabbard from slipping out attached to the blade when drawing it or falling out of the pod altogether,i quite like mine.

Use mine on small prunes, excellent. Wear it over my Bashlins on the rare occasion I'm aerial. wouldnt be without the Sawpod, even on the ground for pruning work the saw is always right where you need it.
