I was comtamplating going down the lifeboat station after work and just jumping straight into the water. But then I have seen what's floating around down there.....

Here a little story GTR . Several years ago I was fishing for black bream Just off , and to one side of the Selsey Life boat slip way . We were getting a few . Any way a crew member came along and opened the doors . No maroon had gone off and it was like a glass top table so I thought nothing off it . 20 mins later I heard the clunk of the the hammer as the chock was knocked away and down she came screws a turning ! The sixteen foot clinker dingy I was in ( seagull century for power ) was very nearly swamped ! I think they were just giving her an airing but we were nearly collected ! Never altered my respect for you guys one iota though .........

:lol::lol::lol: that will learn ya, :001_tt2::lol:

We don't have a slip way. Ours is always on the water. The RNLI are trying to work around slipways now. Too many lost fingers.

Strangly enough a lifeboat is 88% more likely to get called out in calm weather. It's a very rare occasion for one to go out in rough weather. Something to do with more people being out or something.

Still wouldn't change it for the world tho. Love it :thumbup:

Reduced and sided up a manky old roadside hedge that hadnt seen a trimmer in 10 years. Worked nice and steady all morning with a few more sit down breaks in the shade than usual and finished early afternoon. Took my usual 2 bottles of 750ml water, but didnt drink it all.
