Spoken to my local dealer this morning and they've heard nothing about this 'new policy'. They've been a Stihl dealer for about 40 years.

Who's your local graham?

Just spoken to my nearest dealer and it is true. They said "it is to stop any Tom dick or harry purchasing professional equpt." They have also started a next day order in policy on parts not just twice a week as they used to. There are good dealers out there offering decent discount. He just gave me an excellent price on a 150t.

What next?

Will Stihl require us to hand over used chains before selling us new?

Was this policy dreamed up by the same Frenchman who built the Maginot line?:001_rolleyes:

People WILL find away around this...:sneaky2:

I work and live abroad and so order my equipment from the U.K as my local dealers are 'exhorbitant' for parts as well as not at all pro-active in ordering them.

I want to choose who I deal with NOT be dictated too by the very people who should be rewarding me for being product loyal.
