The ARB Show 2013

Don’t miss out!

Friday 14 + saturday 15 June 2013

Bathurst Estate, Cirencester, Gloucestershire

You work in ARB. So if you want to know about the latest kit, machinery and services available especially for you, make a date to visit the ARB Show 2013. It’s the biggest annual get-together for arborists and the biggest show dedicated to you, with more than 60 trade stands already booked in, plus competitions, demos and a full workshop programme. Get the date in your diary and don’t miss out!

New exhibitors. New products.

Over 60 exhibitors have booked at the ARB Show this year – and a number of newcomers show the popularity of the event. First time exhibitors include VW vans with a new pick-up truck, Greenleaf; Green Plant UK with Timberwolf chippers and Rayco stumpgrinders, plus arb software solutions providers Arblogic Limited.

New products come from main show sponsor STIHL, with a new lightweight top-handled pruning saw, and exhibitors including Sawpod, Marlow Ropes and Silky Fox have more essential new arb kit from a throw weight to hand saws, ropes and PPE. Heavier-duty introductions span wood chippers, stump grinders, a processor and a new tractor-mounted chain saw and many of the new products are available to try or see in action with working demos at the Show.

Great attractions

More great attractions include a varied and highly inter-active programme of expert demonstrations plus a series of Workshops covering topics as diverse as pests and diseases, veteran tree management, and Lantra’s progress on the innovative new R2 scheme which will recognise and promote arborists’ skills and experience (Friday only). There is something for everyone, from the complete novice to the experienced practitioner, with plenty of advice on anything from climbing and work techniques to the latest products and climbing kit.

3ATC climbing competition

The Arbjobs.com sponsored 3ATC Open Competition is also back at the Show, inviting climbers of all levels to test their skills as they climb a spectacular cedar tree. It’s a popular competition with some great prizes on offer, so anyone interested is encouraged to book a slot early, or they may miss out.

AUS Ltd Utility Skills Competition

AUS Limited are one of this year’s ARB Show sponsors and are holding the 14th Annual Utility Skills Competition on Friday 14th at the Show. The competition consists of five skill-based challenges that are designed to promote team building and safe working practice. Find out more on the ARB Show website.

ArbTalk Axe Throwing Competition

Of course ArbTalk are also back at the event, and will be hosting their popular Axe Throwing competition, with all proceeds raised going to the Children’s Trust. Steve looks forward to seeing you there!
