My next-door-but-one neighbour has paid for this job on a Willow to be done in his neighbouring garden.

 

Even though he had cleared it with the owner that the work could be done, she was shocked at the result (she was out).

 

Forgive me if don't use the right terminology, not being a tree surgeon. All the canopy has been removed, to the fork you see in the pic.

 

She is worried it will never recover. See pics below....

Best thing to do to a willow pollard the bugger. It will be fine and need doing every 4-5 Years depending on how it goes back
