You going to run radiators off it too or will this be a singular installation, as your place is open plan? 7.5kW is a whopper if you're not going to be plumbing too.

 

If you can afford the initial outlay, get the most efficient over the best looking. Over the course of the stove's lifetime, fuel may cost you more than than the stove. So it makes sense to convert as much fuel as possible into useable heat. Plus you don't have to empty the ash box quite so often.

looking at getting a new wood burner just wanting to know what people have and what you would recomend to get. looking for a min of 7.5 kw just to heat my house not the hot water

 

HI TREE morso or euro heat are theres some good ones out there now and some not as good get a cast iron ours has no fire bricks it just think metal plate :thumbup1:thanks jon :thumbup:

Burley stoves are the billie bollox . Burley Brampton 8KW . They do larger and smaller . I have the Burley Hollywell so can recommend them . Check out the flame window on their web site .

Woodwarm make excellent stoves but I have never used a boiler version. I have heard of many good stoves not working anything like as well when fitted with a boiler so my advise would choose carefully a design that the boiler is not an afterthought.

charnwood or clearview latter make one thats about the size your looking for and it has a hotplate on top so you use it to boil kettle or cook on it. and when not in use lid comes down its approx 1k to buy but british made on the isle of wight

We fitted a Stovax 5 last year and it has been quite satisfactory. Mid-price range, quite good enough. I guess there is a 7kw model. I have since found a good local supplier (the one we actually bought from wasn't great) who was prepared to give us a lot of good advice for free.
