CAT Scanner

I want a CAT scanner for testing before stump grinding. I know is is not going to find plastic etc..

 

Any recommendations, do we need a genny, is a basic one good enough?

Basic battery operated one is enough.

Witty banter aside, if it takes D shape batteries then they are pricey. Simply get some decent NI-MH AA 2800MaH rechargeables and some D-cell adaptors. Sorted.

Any recommendations? Is it worth getting new or are second hand reconditioned OK. We will need to have it checked/calibrated yearly I guess.

Which always seems to cost us a surprising amount for a tool which is so little used.

Some digital devices now only require calibration every 3 years, the analogue versions still require yearly calibration.
