Just check the clips are done up before you start climbing just like you would any outher part off you're system like carabiners, if they still open clean well incase sap or dust is fouling the clips and if this still not helping some damage must have happened so new harness time, cheeper than getting hurt from malfunctioning gear!

when i first saw this thread i thought the lite was was a new model, saw in in the flesh today and its exactly the same as a normal TM just with less padding/clips/gearloops. WHY produce a lite version of something that is light enough already??

When I tried a prototype it was made of a lighter more flexible material, it was not about being more light weight it was about the material I,e the chassis of the harness (not the padding) having more give so it conformed to your body more and had little to do with actually being lighter although this was a favourable trade off I reckon. It was I believe the original intention of the harness to be this way and not with the much firmer more durable nylon reinforced rubber chassis of the original to come to market.

The more flexible (lighter) version I tried was very comfy and I think thicker padding would of lost this.

I've not seen in the flesh this new lite version in the flesh yet.

With the rear saw ring now being ppe rated, does this mean it will now not rip away if the saw gets taken? Sorry if this doesnt make sense aha

good point, i just bought the new upgraded one today. manual says its rated at 15kn. I thought tool strops were designed to break in those situations anyway, just dont use rope for a tool strop i suppose.

To be honest I don't think the original red ring was designed to rip away. Its the chainsaw strop that is designed to break. Coleman is exactly right, people shouldnt be using a rope for a tool strop.
