Got a set of Grafters steelies that have lasted me 3yrs of pretty regular use. Were a damn sight cheaper than the Cats which were the other option when I got them

Bought a pair of Grafters last year - laces snapped after a few months, insoles lifted after about 7 months and then got a split in the heal right through to the other side which let water in. Went for a replacement pair of boots in March;unfortunately only Grafters felt comfortable so for £35 went for another pair. Have replaced the laces (with a pair from Jack Wolfskin trainers I wore for nearly six years and then put in the previous pair of Grafters) already and now the insoles are lifting out again. I will not be buying another pair.

To be honest these days I just wear my wellies when I'm not doing chainsaw work, they are the dunlop puroforts- about 50 squid a pop but they really are the most comfy wellies ever so supple and comfy sole. No more wet feet, job done!

Amblers. From my local farm store.Steel toes and i think a sole plate.Had them a few years now and apart from them being cheap, i cant remember how much i paid exactly. They`re not daily wear as i use various boots , but they`ve stood up to a lot of useage with no splitting, cracking, etc.I do look after my stuff though.
