What chainsaw for big firewood

Im just wondering what you guys use for cutting big firewood? got a husky with a 15" bar on it but need something 24-26" to cut some big stuff. Only need it for a few weeks so will only be buying it and selling it on!

365 or 372 or 390 would be my suggestion . Not keen on 576 as it weighs more than a 372 but makes the same power .

Ms660 with a 25" bar. The bigger stihls tend to get a good pre-loved price.Especially with low hours. Thought of 2nd hand? Less of a hit if you're not going to sell it on soon.

I have A brand new, never had fuel in it, Dolma 6400, which has got a brand new big bore kit in it, which brings it up to 88cc, along with a woods port modded exhaust. Im looking for £740 ono. I only have 2 of these, one of which has my name on it. They were going to be my replacement competition saws. Have a look around on you tube for them, under Dolma 7900 big bore. The saws are all identical from the 6400 onwards. Beacuse i bought the big bore kits, theres no point in buying a 7900. The saws are orange and black so you can still see them in the wood, and they go like **** off a shovel. What do expect for German engineering??

i use a husky 372xp

Get yourself a 440 will run a 24 then for small stuff stick a 16 on it and it will fly through your small timber. Keep the huski for spare

I'd go for the dolmar, or have a look at picking up a standard makita 6400.

Got a 372XP running a 25" bar and an MS880 + 36" bar. How big is the stuff you need to be cutting? Had the 880 firing into some 5' dia oak today-flew through it.

 

TBH after spedng time on the 880 the husqy feels like a little toy!
