Hi Guys,

Looking at a 4x4 with mid size tipper trailer and on a low (high for me) budget of £6500.

Been looking on fleabay at trailers and recon 2 and a half k should see me on an ifor. And looking on Autotrader at Nissan nirvanas, and ford rangers upto £4k. Not having another Landy, so what do you guys think?

Not sure about L200's and hilux are pricey, anything ive missed? not too worried about cab set up, double or single, but will be getting a truckman type lid with it whatever i choose.

Thoughts?:confused1:

nissan as other posts i have posted d22 yd25 be careful they blew up big time. so check to see if it is a yd25 if so has engine been replaced if not then up to you but i would look for one with a new engine cracking trucks good on fuel pulls my plant trailer with ease. now mine is fixed will keep it untill it goes no more.

toyota hens teeth ford ranger maybe at tat price look at the auctions see if they have any coming up may get a good one at the right price

i had a ranger 02 and was great for towing , i just sold it as it was getting to 100000 on clock and cos i was towing everyday it started needing money spent on it ( leaf springs) also be told by guy who has had several that gearbox can get problems after 100000 miles.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys, I have a while before I will be able to make the purchase, but i like to be as well prepared as i can be. I need something fairly tidy as it will have to last, and create the correct impression with customers. Another truck i like the look of is the nissan teranno swb van, any thoughts on these?
