These are milled from Jeremy 's

Woods near Welwyn. He has an order for posts and bollards. They will go off to be pressure treated nearby.

 

 

I am in my caravan in Llandovery woods. I drive back tomorrow with the Woodmizer in tow.

Yes that's right. The pine is dreadful stuff to get dry without discolouring.

I been using my homemade mill today got it working grate it's not finished yet but it's at the point I can use it. First log was oak just under 4 foot long* which made slabs of about 13" wide and two cherry logs about 12" and 14" wide slabs all cut to 2 1/4" at the min then they can be cut in half in the future once I know what im doing with them or left thick.

Some lovely colour in the cherry and still have one more to mill bit longer one plus a big lump of lurburnum and a yew. Just need to get them stacked properly now with stickers. Thanks for looking.

Hi well I did it all on my own I wouldn't say it's easy nor difficult quite easy now iv got the hand of it bit more to be fair.
