Been milling this ugly lump of burry elm today, didn't get any photos of where it was when I turned up but it was attached to the root plate sat on top of a stone wall (at least what was left of it) Took a bit to get the root plate cut away and pull it to flatter ground.

Plenty of burrs on it, some of which I took off so it would fit the mill.

First slab off and its looking good

Got 12 x 2" slabs out of it with good thick top and bottom slabs left over for wood turning.

Thanks for the comments guys wish it was my timber but even after a year of asking I couldnt get the guy to let me have any 👎

Still, got a days milling from it.
