A lady I know is up for selling this fordson, it needs a new battery, ignition and starter I think, tyres also. The engine looks pretty clean and it need a new exhaust. Not sure on brakes. I don't want to rip her off but she has asked how much I would be willing to pay? I was thinking £500? Any advice would be appreciated. We have an early Dexta, brilliant little tractors, knocked the Massey 35 into a cocked hat.

This is a Major looking at it... Also lovely tractors.

Plenty of power, good strong machines.

NoRush is right about checking the engine though. Block is cracked on ours.

Sounds about right at £500/£600. Bargain!

Find out if its live drive.

I'd say it would need to be proven a very good runner for £500 with the list of ailments it has. You could soon crack upto £2k on that thing before you know it without touching the engine or hydraulics.

Dont be tempted too much by the loader, you can pick them up in classic tractor for £30.

The most valuable part of the old girl would be in its bonnet and front nose cone. If they are in good solid order, you may want to pay £300 for them alone.
