Almost 40 posts on the professionalism of pegs:lol::lol::lol:

If you use them- don't fall on them, if you don't-why be critical of those who do.....

Me? Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. If I plan to pull the stick over I'll leave a peg for the rope, usually leave pegs on stretched limbs-safer than gaffing and leaning out and something easier to grasp when cutting and chucking timber.

Anyway, it's personal choice IMO, everyone develops their own styles and techniques to some degree.

I do what I need to do to make life as easy as possible, if theres a ladder handy, I will get a head start with 1, if I can rest my foot on a nice big peg, I will.

Things are not black and white in my world.

Also if I am knocking trunks down onto a banking and I want to reduce them rolling away, a big hedgehog log stops this.

Who's being critical??:confused1:

We are just expressing our own take on things, IMO the big problem these days with Arbtalk is too many people take a difference of opinion as a "criticism", its NOT!, its just a difference of opinion, there are 100's of ways doing something right.

I've really enjoyed this thread, it reminds me of the old days on here
