What top handle to get if not Stihl?

I have been looking to get a top handle for a wile now and I have been waiting for the Husky 540T to come out but with out a real date for release I am looking to get some thing to see me over until it comes out that will be a good back up saw in the future.

I would like to go for some thing under £200 if I can so the 200 and 201 are a bit out of what I would be up for spending. Would be looking for some thing decent condition second had.

I also currently have two 346xp's with 13" bars and a 372xp with an 18" or 28" so I have the bigger saws. Also I am kinda into my huskys instead of stilhs :) any thing else is fine :laugh1:

Thanks for any help

Ian

Not to long ago Spud had a Husky 335xpt for sale for that kind of money. He may still have it.

Stay away from other brands, this is going to be your main tool, don't scrimp bite the bullet and buy the saw, 201 or a husqy its down to your personal preference, I now have the 150 top handle 10" bar , the new electric husqy with a stihl 10" bar and an old back handle 200 , these are my climbing saws and all 3 have there specific applications, no one saw gets over used . Its all part of your kit, tax deductible, and there to make your life easier. :thumbup1:

Husky should now be available, my mate has had his for a month now and is well pleased with it

I thought they may have been coming out last month, then heard it was this month, I emailed a dealer who had them up on there site at they said it may not be until September! From what I can make out its been nearly coming out for a few years now.

I wouldn't mind getting some thing like an echo. I am currently using one of my 346's for climbing with and its OK. I can always use this if I need to do some thing that's a bit bigger. I was thinking if there was some thing that's smaller, lighter and less expensive as a 201 or new husky it would be useful to have in the future for less demanding jobs.
