mick if the job is down ashford way and you need a place to offload chip your more than welcome to tip at our place, same offer goes for anyone providing it doesnt contain any yew

Priced these today.Re-pollard four Poplars, all the chip stays and all the wood needs to go to my yard 20mile away. So far I am the best quote and there is one more quote to come. Ive priced em to get em so what would you,re "estimate" be considering you are only looking at photo,s.

To be fair Steve that is a killer commute. By the time your tractor gets to the job, you would have just enough time to cut one branch, chip it, and drive home! I'd want 45k too, cause it would take you 6 months!

Why does having a MEWP 'guarantee' no damage? It might make it a touch easier, but it offers no more guarantee's than a climber:?:

 

Now a crane on the other hand, that would give you more security on the job...

 

I could do the 4 trees in a couple of hours with a crane, a 20 tonne truck mount would be more than sufficient, and cost about £220.

I reckon Dave's knuckleboom would get them with 14 meters reach...

But then you'd need 20 jobs like that to make up a week, to pay for all the kit your using. Take it easy and do it with minimal kit, otherwise its almost like working for a living, none of us want that!
