Cant figure them out lol

Do they count the hours while on idle, running full chat or just on full chat with feed rollers running?

We use a greenmech quadchip but I assume they all work the same way?

I think at least 25% of running time is not actual chipping time when you think about the feeding and fetching of material.

So from my estimation manufacturers claims 'xyz' hours between blade changes is so much...rot.

If I was chipping pure balsa wood from a swept concrete floor MAYBE I could achieve the claimed hours BUT...I prefer to change much earlier, blades AND fluids to prevent...bad stuff.

p.s

What do I know anyway, I probally one of those forum ***heads...

Clock runs on the ignition. You could leave it all day with just the ignition on and the clock will still count on.

Don't know why people say they do less hours to change blades etc. the chipping time is nothing. So even if you follow the book and change the blades at say 100 hours, guarantee the blades have only done half that actual chipping. The rest will be on tickover or just running waiting for the next lot to be thrown at it.
