bloody hell rich wish we could get 100hrs outta ours.lol

ours say change blades at 20hrs but we go off chip quality tbh.

we put new set of them Saturn knives in today....not impressed:thumbdown:

loosing their edge already after only 4x tranny loads in clean conifer:thumbdown:

oops back to the thread, your clock ticks whenever the ignition is "ON" running or not

Yeah I was was just giving an example. Not an a cutsAll reccomendation. But I did read in the greenmech book that the round blades should be changed after 100hours. Not sure if that means rotate at 100 or change complete after rotating inbetween 100 hours.

We're the same, we got our chipper new in January and has now done 120hours but we have changed the blades prob 4 times. We also used a set of the Saturn knives a couple of weeks back and wasn't impressed by the durability of them.

only learned recently that the quad chip can be used with the square blades or the round with different bolts. Been told that the round ones last longer between changes but the chip quality isnt as good, not that I am worried as long as it chips it.

You spread all those chips yet Rich:001_rolleyes:

No I havnt. I really should dig into it. But I'm really waiting for a loader to come along and do it for me. I'm only at that site for one day every two weeks so I can't do everything at once. Jeeze I'm not a robot you know. :001_tongue::001_tt2:
