Got the vespa at the weekend .......I have just been told by a mate that he thinks that the law on riding scooters over 50cc as changed. He thinks i may have to do the CBT before i can ride it:thumbdown:......Is this correct?....I passed my car driving licence in the late 1980's and thought this gave me an entitlement to ride a scooter upto 125cc (with "L" plates):confused1:

Have you still got your Vespa ? CBT is not hard my daughter passed it a few weeks ago but you do need it to ride on L plates. I've just registered a 1964 Lambretta that I'm playing about with and I have a Honda 900 Hornet for the hell of it.

Yep, still got the Vespa. It's not fully run-in yet. The bloke a bought it off rebuilt the engine not long before I got it.

What model is the Lambretta?
