Ohhh Yes, its a full 20 footer on a Brian James trailer.

 

On paper it was a legal load but I am pretty certain the back axle was over weight, it towed like a bitch.

That's just daft! Run the saw through the over hang and stack on top, then put rope all over the load job done!! With enough rope over that and the edges tidied up that would sail past any traffic cop in my opinion!!

 

if your mate carries on working /driving in that way he's highly likely to come a cropper with the blues and twos. That will be a days profit down the pan for fifteen minutes extra stacking work.

This is some of a tree I felled in a small garden a couple of years ago for firewood. It was for a friend who lived some 30 miles away and the run home involved some serious hills. My landrover a 1987 110 had at that time a very high mileage TD engine that burned that much oil I thought it was a 2 stroke. I had a tyre blow out on the way too. It was a long day on my own.

If you loaded that on your own I take my hat off to you.

I had to wheel it all out an alley way at the side of the house in a wheel barrow. Some of them were very heavy and many of the rings had to be cut down the middle to aid lifting onto the trailer. I couldnt have done the same the next day though.

I know we all laugh and joke, but IMHO loading the trailer like that was highly irresponsible and downright dangerous!

 

We all overload a bit now and then but that looks waaaaaaaaaaaaay over the mark to me!

 

Blowout on the overloaded trailer tyres could have caused a major incident/accident - would you want to be responsible for possible outcomes.

So we all overload, you included, you don't know what you are looking at but you feel self expert enough to become an arch hypocrite.

 

For the record I didn't drive it but I did load it and I did sit in the passenger seat.

 

For the record the back axle may have been over loaded but not by much, the load was within the trailer capacity
