So would I Freelander ok to drive. Disco 3 and 4 very nice. Range Rover dreadful a right fat old ox that wanders all over the road and still has no boot space.

I would struggle to pick between a disco 4 and amazon if was not for the reliability problems. Range Rover = cigar smoking old farts car.

You have made me laugh tonight the thought that a discovery is even on the same planet comfort wise to an Amazon. And I should know I run both.

Of course not all Range Rovers were fat oxs and not all drivers were old farts and the price of Amazon parts is horredous £1000 for genuine exhaust £800 for pattern £400 for set of discs and pads. What ever you buy its the luck of the gods.

get one of the last fourtraks, 01 plate. super reliable, tows a trailer, can seat 7, an off roads beter than a 90!

I got a disco 4 with the new engine and 8 speed auto box its one of the best motors I've had loads better than the older Land Cruiser don't know about newer ones .

As for older Discos (all old cars brake down) they may brake down a bit but there is plenty of Landrover specialists work shops out there who can fix things with no problems with cheep parts.

Exactly. I enjoyed driving my Disco. I just had to drive it to all of those Landrover specialist work shops you mention very frequently. Having run 3 toyotas in the past 10 years I've never spent a penny on any of them outside servicing. That's reliability.

Landrover = great design product appallingly put together.
