If you know its gonna snow put a tarp on the grass the night before, when it stops snowing peel back the tarp to reveal the grass, chuck the bird seed down and you'll be suppressed what turns up to feed. We have feeding areas all around our fields and I'm spinning out three bags of seed a week! Also cut areas in the seed crops we grow to spread seed. I love my birds!
