His best song is "The Hedgehog Hunt" but this is the only on on Ytube. I grew up listening to a lot of classical, so I quite enjoy it. Favourite "proper" piece is Peter and the Wolf, or Nutcracker - Dance Of The Sugar-Plum Fairy.

Not generally a fan of solo piano, but this Chopin etude has always been a fave!

YouTube - Chopin Etude Op.25 no.11 "Winter Wind" (Pollini)

Love the Chopin studies. Favourites are opus 10, numbers 3, 5 and 12 and opus 25, numbers 5, 9 and 12.

Also can't beat a bit of Lizst in the morning to wake you up - this is one of my very favourite pieces, but don't drive to it. You'll drive far too fast!

How the hell do you put the link up like the previous worthy additions. Mick, you are spot on with Barber's Adagio - Leonard Slatikins version for 9/11 moves me to tears....

Another Lisitsa recording - great thing is she is a top grade concert pianist and posts all her recordings on youtube, in HQ, for free. A Rachmaninov prelude I've always loved - so longing and heartbreaking:
