There must be some money in the bales as it seems to be an expensive and slow machine. A big mulcher would deal with it much more effectively. IMO. I guess if they have to clear the site it has it's advantages. Well, one anyway.

The Scandies burn them in bio mass

seen a fair few lorry loads of these bundles local to us in angus think it was riddel of aberdeen driving them so there must be someone using them up this way

We burn them aswell, our local pulp mill produces its on electricity.

Bailing makes replanting so much quicker and easier, only certain sites allow it, the bales go through large Chippers, so if the baler guy lifts some rocks digging deep, the chipper man doesn't like it :(

Saw one for first time clearing up on a couple of fc compartments at Cockley Cley last year.

I saw at canford, one imported for ARBRE around the turn of the millenium, on a rottne base, it only managed about 80 500kg bales/day, has this improved?

Justin does have some mental machines! That thing would pay for itself in a matter of weeks with the clearances he does ! And he does have a mulcher.... It's bigger than my house
