Is it me or is the t.v. absolutely desperate this year ? Right now its 50 years of children's tv . I seem to watch the news and weather and that's it .

TV is getting desperate nearly every day of the year! I hardly watch it to be honest, its rubbish. I spend more time watching stuff on the net, and if its not wet and cold, I'm outside.

Tolkien no good to you then?

Read the Hobbit and Lord of the rings about 40 years ago . Enjoyed them though . Would not want to fall off Lord of the rings , its a biggun .

Had this conversation with someone just the other night. To be honest I think its just that we are spoilt for choice all year round these days. I expect most of us still have memories of sitting for hours flicking through the christmas edition of radio times as a child to pick out what movies we were going to watch on the only 4 channels we had available back then :)
