I used to find an o rig a PITA if i wanted to advance my line on the way up, if I didnt hit my top anchor with the throwline straight away. Used to just use a sling to the hitchclimber. Easier changeovers.

Hi Ben!

Potentially looking at giving this set up and my only concern at the moment is what you have mentioned in regards to advancing my line if I don't have a set TIP.
Quick question: where you using a termination knot or a spliced eye on the tail of your rope?
Can't imagine it being much more effort with advancing using a spliced end.

Adding a short double eye cord makes advancing the anchor in the usual way, the top left hitch needs hooking up when in use. Prusiks are shown to represent friction hitches, climber’s choice.

Edit: I didn’t use the friction hitch tending Prusik that crosses over, just as easy to push it up, and made advancing TIP one step simpler.
