I dont really like the Lavazza coffee. I have tried most of the coffees in the supermarkets the best by miles has been Taylors expresso. Sainsburys own ground expresso is ok. I have a Gaggia expresso burr grinder but its rubbish does anyone have a reasonably priced burr grinder which is fine enough for proper expresso.

Zassenhaus make fine grinders - got mine off the bay for about 30 notes or 90 new. As said, invest rest in a good load of beans, and get a gold filter and funnel. Water at 90 degrees. Splash. Settle. Pour. Wait. Drink, etc.

Probably too late for xmas but when Which last looked at coffee machines, the argos one did well, DeLonghi EC 250.B Espresso-Cappuccino did well and the sub £100 morphy richards.

They were nearly as good as the £300 Gaggia ones but not as robustly made. Hope this helps.
