tried the 550xp and the 560xp as you say so light i only used it on a douglas fir but it was a bigun went through it so fast unlike old saw caught me out a bit as it was so fast. just need to save up to get one

I'm running an 18" bar on my 550xp atm. Find it puls it okay, had the entire bar in some eucalyptus the other week and pulled fine, gonna get a smaller bar though and only use the bigger one when I need to

HI CHRIS stubby thanks for the 550xp on a 13 is it very fast 13 is max yes and 560xp is good on a 15 bar yes thanks jon :thumbup:

 

I usuallly run my 550 on 13" and yes it's quick, but I had the 15" on it for some sycamore thinning and it was fine. Whilst it'd probably pull an 18" at a push I reckon it would throw the balance out of what is a really nicely balanced saw.
