I have finally decided to take the plunge and get my own spikes ad flipline and was just wanderig what everyones opinions are on the distel gecko spikes with the velcro top pad and leather bottom pad? (i'm use to old school steel spikes andleather straps all round!)

Also which is the better flipline to go for yale or new england? i think the only difference is the yale one has flemished ends for the loops?

Cheers guys!

Cheers for the info guys do you think the geckos with velcro straps top and bottom are the ones to go for then? i can't quite see how the velcro goes round your foot though?

What about a flipline then anyone got any preferences or are they all pretty much the same?

gecko's for sure with the velcro ! best spurs ever.

and for lanyard / flipline....I use a dynamic Beal Unicore that is way better for your back when rigging down heavy wood ;-) the static ones tend to pass all the action right into your backbone and with the dynamic cords that's way, way, way better !

Use it for pruning and rigging jobs and when it's all covered in rasin and dirt I just cut of a new one.
