3.5t tipper payload

Looking at getting a 3.5t tipper and wondered what has the best payload, any near 2t or is that just wishful thinking?

My old LDV weighed 2 tonnes before you put your tools and and men in.

Wishful thinking! They are all the same within a little. A bog standard tipping unit with no high sides/tool boxes or anything else will typically give you approximately 1.5t payload

I reckon the Cabstar has a pretty good payload, but the back is pretty small volume wise.

 

I reckon on about a tonne in the back of my Transit D/C with two up in the cab plus tools and dog.

Ahh, thought it was just wishful thinking haha and I have been looking at the cabstar, don't look too bad although I have read several negative reviews about them , anyone give me their verdict on them?

A 3.5t truck is the most rubbish Arb truck available. I should know, I've got one.

It's going to be near 6/700kg if you get a modern transit & put 3 people with kit in it

argree with 6/700kg - totaly pointless isnt it realy , fire up that chipper for an hour, the backs full and over weight.. and still the timber to shift.

 

headed for a 5.2/6.5 iveco daily myself with restricted o liecence - looked into it and it not as much of a pain in thre arse as it seems - appart from extra costs but over the year is not that much

good man u know it makse sence,did u have much trouble finding a 5.2t daily
