i dont usually go for all these kind of gadgets, but this has got me excited!!! Looks a lot simpler to use than the spiderjack....works like a prusik...sold!

It looks cool, I would like to try it out first. Only potential downside is the 'shortness' of the device effectively hiding the 'prussik' behind the top biner.

Can't see that being an issue, look at the unicender! Don't think anyone has had an issue with that? I maybe wrong?

SRT is really worth looking into On the big stuff out here we always set up an srt line for access its so much easier. I switch to DRT at the top for the work climb, not ventured into srt working.

 

The zigzag looks like an awesome bit of kit and at that price it might make ART sweat a bit!

The spider jack looks like it takes the rope through a lot easier making it a lot better at ascending. gonna have to try both out!

The uni action is slightly different, it opens under load, whereas the cantilever of the zig zag could potentially trap things.

 

That said most climbing gear can trap. My swivel has pulled holes in lots of my shirts and on one horrific occasion it had hold of my nipple!

i wonder what would happen when your rope pulls it to the side (against the rivits) around a branch or fork when your in a tight spot??????? cant be good!
