To be honest I've just been really fortunate as a business. Don't get me wrong I still do the odd small tree here and their but now it's mostly commercial.

 

Having the skid steer allows me to be very quick compared to my competition.

I took my boy to the beacon burn at Okeford Hill in Dorset. They had a bar and bbq which was good. It was great looking into the distance and seeing maybe 6 or 7 other beacons in the distance.

 

Haha i was up there last week too. Only up there on my tod though.

Stump grinding yesterday and the lads found a nail for me just before I arrived to do the stump and thismorning a nice failed hanging tree to get down, left a nice hanger when I felled it over but luckily had the picker so was fairly easy to get out.

That picker sure has changed the way you work these days Mr Git....has it paid itself back yet? Bet it's not far off.

Not far off financially but in saved effort and extra safety on some jobs we get it most definitely has although it's about to cost me about a grand for new clutch and duel mass fly wheel 👎

Beech removal, dead wood and reduce 3 lowest branches on one oak and an oak reduction

Rarely do I feel sad about felling a tree but this beech had been growing in the shelter of the large oak and seemed quite happy there.

Turned up to deadwood a couple of beech trees today and noticed a vertical crack from some included bark on a mature Beech tree.

 

Made a few call and decided to test the crack with a John Deere.

 

The tractor won.

We then felled the remainder into the field behind with a little help from Mr J Deere.
