Trees to clear out of a burn today. They'd blown a while ago and have been gradually silting up the burn. The heavy rainfall recently brought matters to a head when the water started spilling out, running down the hill and through the back door of someone's house. Anyone who's wondering about getting a Tirfor type winch....... Don't do it - you might end up with jobs like this one!

Just be glad you only have a tirfor if you end up owning a Trewhella monkey winch you end up getting the really big trees blown over in the most inaccessible places you can imagine. Or rescuing stuck tractors, excavators, harvesters etc...

We normally just end up with two 5 ton tirfors and a couple of snatch blocks for that sort of thing.
