Conifer smash and grab today.

Not the most interesting work but a great bunch of guys, hard graft and beautiful day . Our biggest earning day so far :)

Todays job was trying to upload these pics ( rubbish computer operator) Probably on the wrong thread but thought they were interesting. This is from a holiday I took Last week in hunting island S/C USA. Its eroding at approx. 30 mts a year.Mostly green oak but some big pine and palms.

Job in Salford today. Road closure. Getting the trees off the top of the wall. 4 of us on site from 7-5. Engineering company came in with a 40t crane to lift some coping stones that a silver birch had lifted from growing under it. Turns out they couldn't lift it. Sandstone wouldn't anchor their lifting plate properly. Bit of a shambles on their part!

 

Our part went well. Landy full of chip around 3-4 cube. Transit of logs. Then tractor trailer 3/4 chip and 1/4 logs and rakings.

 

Had plenty drama with pedestrians calling us some colourful names because we stopped them walking under a crane and through a work site.
