Dead wood oak from Friday (I'll apologise to Mr Humphries in advance about the loss of habitat)[ATTACH]168151[/ATTACH][ATTACH]168152[/ATTACH]

 

Tut tut, you could have left at least another 100mm of dead wood there :biggrin:

 

Would be interesting to see this tree again in a year or two, in terms of whether the reduction aids vitality (or whether it's in terminal decline)

I'll try to remember to post some more pics David in a year or two as it's nice and local to me. I'm hoping to aid the tree as other than the deadwood it's in good shape.
