Started a few weekends worth of highways works. Quite nice being contracted in to supply the skid steer, workforce and other pieces of machinery.

Tut tut, you could have left at least another 100mm of dead wood there

 

Would be interesting to see this tree again in a year or two, in terms of whether the reduction aids vitality (or whether it's in terminal decline)

I'll try to remember to post some more pics David in a year or two as it's nice and local to me. I'm hoping to aid the tree as other than the deadwood it's in good shape.
