We did, but that particular one was too much for the loader, so we used chains to get it close enough, documented by Dave here..

The ones closer to the camera are all even further away though. Would the timber grab on the multione not pick up and drag the butts of those logs? Or pallet forks and lift/push. Genuine question.

Yes the Avant was able to get everything else close enough, but when it won’t budge and you have a couple of chains, why tear the loader up trying to move it?

Here it is doing exactly as you say, difference is, it’s a dead cedar stem, half the weight of a knotty green Douglas stem.

Me pacing around anxiously worrying about fixing broken concrete posts etc.

Blown 50 year old concrete posts set into concrete plaques built by Frenchmen that saw service building blockhaus and submarine pens for organisation Tod are a nightmare to replace.

Very nice John, not much tidy up to do after that either.

I trust its earning its keep then?

its just so efficient. There's no point being Charlie big bananas and taking gurt big pieces as it just slows everything up on the ground, slow and steady is the way in my opinion.

Its proved to be a valuable piece of kit, but the excitement factor of using it has worn off, I said to one of the guys the other day that its actually fairly boring sitting in it all day
