Made a start on clearing some self set, ash, hawthorn and elder from up the side of a ditch where they were encroaching into the field and obstructing access to the ditch for maintenance, also meant I got to fell something of a reasonable size for first time in a while :thumbup1:

Two of us yesterday all day strimming this banking. At its widest it was 10 strimmer widths and that accounts for about 2/3 of its length. 150/200m ish?

 

Its at the back of a white spirit plant so all the long grass we've cut has to come away. I spent all day today with a br600 blowing the grass on the flat bit at the top and half way down the biggest bank. 8 litres of fuel yesterday and 6 litres today.
