Felling 120m³ of unpopular poplars very close to a holiday park, access is via the very wet marsh below .

I am not sure how i keep finding these delightful jobs.

Back on the wind blown sycamore job with more stokboards for access.

Going well.

First load took 30 minutes.

Stockpiling on the drive now, should have the track off the grass today.

Honking Fir yesterday and today. Not super tall, around 130ft, but huge branches. 40+ inch stump

Removing a rotten ash ivy covered stem that had fallen across.

 

Then ladder up a chesnut that had already been stripped and peice down the stem. Havent been using my spikes much so took me a while to get used to it on the learning stem.

Boss called a nice early finish 1pm so went to get some lunch, everything soaked.

Tomorrow might be dry so ropes can dry out then.
