Awkward one today on a previously mullered oak that had to be mullered a lot more for ‘insurance reasons’.

3’ butt and big knuckle, but apparently only 60 years old.

Planted by some old boy who now lives in one of the houses responsible for the mullering!

Mainly rig-tastic day over 3 gardens, so it was pretty full on.

Luckily all cord stayed on site.

Danny Mac up top, tipped off and coldies by 6.

Luckily only missed the games I was less bothered about.

Had time to cook a spag bol with the kids and now eating that with a bottle of rouge on the go and more than half an eye on Ronaldo v France.

A few recent bits and bobs. The new skid steers been great and getting much more lift capacity has been nice. A large oak that's pretty much dead the lads put 1 in the mewp to clear the branch work towards the tennis court and trees underneath whilst the other 2 climbers knocked out big free fall sections then adding some coronet cuts.

Something a bit different, driving augers for polytunnel hoops, about 300 in total, made up a very rough holder for the augers, bolted to the rotator and down they went, wrung a few off when they caught stones but there were sufficient spares.

added a few pics from the farm, they grow mostly salads, interesting little iseki on widened axles for direct drilling lettuce seeds etc.

We've been very fortunate to have been contacted in by a big forestry firm near us to do the arb work. Such a beautiful place and even I did some tree work today (used the mewp).
