Mr Sutch has been at that lifting game for many years ,they should know better .

I recognise that Case Tractor from Halewood wood lane fields this week with a spearhead fail ,nice clean job .

Sutchs just did the lift. The engineering guys got it wrong. Anchor bolts in sandstone. Just crumbled out as it lifted.

Yeah that would have been my dad or one of his guys at the fields. Doing a lot of pitch renovations round Liverpool. 120 I think.

Job in Salford today. Road closure. Getting the trees off the top of the wall. 4 of us on site from 7-5. Engineering company came in with a 40t crane to lift some coping stones that a silver birch had lifted from growing under it. Turns out they couldn't lift it. Sandstone wouldn't anchor their lifting plate properly. Bit of a shambles on their part!

Our part went well. Landy full of chip around 3-4 cube. Transit of logs. Then tractor trailer 3/4 chip and 1/4 logs and rakings.

Had plenty drama with pedestrians calling us some colourful names because we stopped them walking under a crane and through a work site.

I thought you had your own company Rob?

I did. Worked under my dads company for 12 months but a contract didn't come off that we were almost hoping for. Just didn't have enough tree work to justify much kit so it never went too far. I work as a supervisor for another firm now. Based on grounds maintenance but now have 3 tree teams which I supervise.
