be a nice one for somebody to try and knock him down on price on given thats quite a bit of handling and definetly some lumps destined for the bonfire. But if you were real close, got price down enough and had time/bored then hey why not - i would

We left this in a garden a couple of months back, price was just to drop 14 connies.

He has had this lot on eBay, starting bid £195.

Fair play to him if buyer collects!

fair play indeed, connys the about the worst wood you can buy unless mixed with other wood right?

A few years ago i run out of hardwood logs, one of my customers rang wanting a load , i said to get them out of trouble (and to keep their custom) i would give them a couple of nets to try and if they were happy with the logs i would sell them a load. They rang back next day and were very happy with the logs and they left a lovely fresh aroma around the house. It was conifer destined for the bonfire.

I'd take softwood over certain hardwoods without thinking about it, but ultimately owt will burn if it's dry.

Very true, I've found properly seasoned Leyland Cypress is cracking in woodburners, if a little quick.

If my log yard (too small) hadn't been stacked out I would have had it, but the job spec was always to leave the timber.

Would have been a days haulage in the Tranny, but you could have got a 7.5 tonner in there.

And some of it would have been snotty logging.
