The standard cscs if you like. Your cs Certs will cover everything else.

The other colours are for a trade.

There was a thread about these a while ago. Should come p in a search on cscs.

I have the basic green CSCS, expires in 2014 (i think) allows me to go on most construction sites if i need to

5 min exam, piss easy, its come in handy once or twice too with jobs that require it, but it is mainly for construction sites from what i can gather

as for the colours, think blue is for digger driving, red might be supervisor.. now i'm just guessing:lol::blush:

I passed mine ages ago but have never been sent a card.

When they chased it up they said the scheme had changed and we had to do a occupation specific test again.

Jog on!

The debate as to wether we need to sit it again remains. Meanwhile I still dont have a card or number. Saying that, I have never been asked for it!

Exactly what happened to me so I just got fed up with it and have never been asked. Mind you we don't often work on building sites. I like the ones with easy going foremen/ site supervisors.

Agree- questions are for the stupid

Tree Surgery and Fencing CSCS come under BALI now. You have to do a one day ROLO health and safety course as well as touch screen. No other health and safety course counts even CITB. Just another scam to make you pay more for a course that is really very basic! I've just had 10 lads go through it and its directed training funds away from areas where it could be better spent!

Me and my 2 lads have the white cscs cards, we get asked for it quite a lot, depends how many sites you get to. job tomorrow for a biulding firm requires cscs. well worth it for what it costs.

I see it as a foot in the door to more work on building sites which is a) Good, because you can earn top dollar and b) Bad, because they are all shite at paying on time.

I don't like the sound of JohnyAlphas post, though.

I'll try and ring them and see if I can get any sense.
