On some unbraked trailer models there is a non breakable chain that connects to the truck.... I don't know the law on this but they do come like this from the manufacturer.

remember that you can not tow with the chipper chained to the truck!!

 

I was stopped in London a couple of years ago by VOSA...he asked me why i had a chain connecting the chipper to the truck..i told him it was for security reasons. He just shook his head and told me that if i was stopped again and still had the chain on i would be in a lot of trouble...Can,t remember the exact reason but it was along the lines of what Johny said...

a lot to be said for the pick-up hitch on the mog, your going to have to be pretty clever to unhitch something from it

 

You can get anything off an agricultural PUH with nothing more than a small bottle jack.
