I pay enough tax, so if im entitled to it il take it

It's not about tax, it's stamp and NI. As a self employed person you pay an awful lot less percentage wise than someone who is employed hence my thoughts that you are entitled to less. As has been said you work hard, pay into the system so expect f all.

Look I can't remember specifics, I was dosed out of my tree on morphine, but it was all recompensed once I found I could claim. I think at a guess it took 4 weeks, but I may be mistaken. Thing is, if you can't earn your every day living, it's partial disability, or worst case total disability. I couldn't stress about anything at the time, but my wife did because we didn't know the way it works. As soon as I felt fit to return to work I stopped claiming, foolishly too early I realise now, but I'm stubborn and I know best ;)

True, this is the propaganda thrown out to make people act up, I have paid 100's of k in tax in my life, so has everybody else.

So to claim a living allowance while your poorly is no big deal.

Just ring the DWP and say works dried up.
