Roadside tree

I am after a bit of advice:

I am quoting to remove a tall thin Chestnut that has been hit by a car. The tree is right next to the road in a small Kent village. The culprits insurance will be paying - hopefully!

Would a coupe of guys holding the traffic 25 metres either side be sufficient as each section comes down, or would it be best to get proper traffic control?

I do not have Chapter 8.

So options: 1. Wing it, 2. Traffic Control. 3. Are there any other Kent based firms that do have the necessary's, near Leeds Castle area, who would be interested in helping out?

Thanks

Chris

I would go for full TM if the insurance company are paying for it, why wing it when someone ells is footing the bill and it looks profesional to anyone passing.

Sunday morning is prob the most dangerous time to be on the road, hung over drivers some still over the limit, stressed out parents with a car full of screeming kids and legaly only the police can stop and hold traffic by simpaly holding a hand up.

In some situations you could use a STOP WORKS loly pop type sign if you were only to hod the traffic for a short time similar to a school crossing.

Stay pro dont wing it.

Hi Chris

I would be happy to come up with another to help you on this with another.

We both have Chapter eight and so long as you can do it in less than 2 minute stoppages we can use our stop/go boards. I know the traffic gets bad through Leeds village up to 9am but calms down later. How long would the job take? I would like to check it out before we do it so we can assess other signage.
