pristine garden with a nice lawn loads of stuff to drag out can wait till another day, the last thing you want to do is leave a nice track up someones lawn. same with big tree and small % reductions, il try and do them in the dry. mainly for my own enjoyment as much as anything.

climbed in all weathers as a subby but know its my show i like to have the option

Also, the thought of working in the rain is sometimes worse than the reality.

 

It looks pretty bad if you're sat in a truck when it's lashing it down, but if you are out working in it wearing decent wet weather clothing then it's not actually that bad.

i climb in the rain if its an emergency ie callout etc, not just to make money,though i did have to wheni lived in wales, you couldnt always hide from it ..

Agreed

Sitting in the truck in the drizzle is depressing and I'd much sooner be out there getting wetter. Mind you, the decision to climb or not is down to the climber.

If it's just a fun climb I have no worries when it's raining. It takes a bit more friction to properly control descents, especially when using mechanical devices but as for the mess it's a good excuse for a kit rub down and clean up! Admittedly it's a different kettle of fish when using cutting tools in trees but on a rec climb I love getting down and dirty with the trees, rain or shine!
