I love the noise of the chipper. I cant wait to start the beast up on a job and try to do it as early as possible.:evilgrin02:

You could put as many leaflets as you want on cars chances are they won't pay any attention to them. Or as its housing association places they probably not ins or taxed anyway.:scared1:

Last winter we had one of our stretchs of trailway re-surfaced. People complained about the fact that we had 120 ton of dust dumped in a car park which we own. They complained about the mud left on the car park from the 6 ton dumper we had going up and down. The best complaint was about the noise from the chipper and saws as we clear felled sections infront of the digger. There was alot of dust from the chipper and from the stone dust but only 1 complaint about the fact their washing now had to be re-washed.

Dust on cars...how about this. A company was felling a tree next to a classroom.Parked chipper on a slope and start work. The chute vibrates sideways, been summer all the big windows were open and spray chips all over the people inside..lol. whoops. after a lot of shoe licking they decide to fell the butt which is at the top of slope. perfect felling cuts, butt it's the deck, rolls down the slope and through the £6k glass sliding doors.(apparently the doors didn't slide to easily when they went to tell someone.lol) Some how they still get work there.

Ps..the dust sheets didn't quite work on this occassion.

Just been doing battle with an under priced conny on a bank holiday Saturday, and look at arb talk straight away after cracking a cold one (or two) of course.

How about.....

One site we regularly work on had an incident a few years ago. We got stiffed for two car valets at £100 each. Thereafter, on any of their sites the car park we work in has to be empty or we'll not carry out the works on the day of operations and charge for the delay. This does mean that sometimes we work on a Saturday. They pay for the overtime, happy days.

Education is a two way street. (Pun intended).
