Try this. Might get the ball rolling for you. By my reading you can just do it up to 3500. But I may be wrong!

Edit: you apply for the updating. Seems simple enough

Cheers Rob....Someone suggested sending the log book back for change?

but yours seems more sensible way of doing it.

Can anyone advise on this please......

I have recently been offered another landy to add to work vehicle fleet its a 110, 3050kg,

Now how difficult is it to make it a 3500kg like my other 110? Do I need to change shocks etc.:confused1:

Thanks in advance Matty:thumbup1:

Are you sure its a 110 and not a 130, I guess the reason you want to alter the MoT is to change it from class 7 to normal.

was just wondering if it can be uprated to 3500kg

Pretty sure there's someone on here done it successfully - have a feeling it could be 18stoner.

Physically, from what I've seen the only differences are bigger front brakes and the helper springs inside the rear springs. FWIW, I took the original springs off my old 130 and fitted some aftermarket HD ones on and they were crap in comparison to the standard double spring set up.

Every 110 HD I've seen so far though has also come through LRSV and has had an extra plate welded along most of the length of the top and bottom of the chassis rails too - a bit like on the 130's, though whether or not it's on every single 3.5T one I'm not sure.

Anyone recommend any HD springs for this too? I'm lookin to get my 130 turned into a tipper eventually.

Are you still running the standard twin spring set up Pete? If so, I reckon a fresh set of Genuine ones are the best for carrying the weight - most aftermarket stuff isn't worth a crap for proper work. They should easily outlast any aftermarket ones too.

Also, to be able to keep the inner spring, you need something that's near enough the same length as the standard ones too.

My 130 was an ex electric board single cab and still had the anti roll bars on - was like a go kart empty and even with the quadtech body fiilled to the brim with logs it still handled OK (ish). Sensibly loaded (so 3 cube or so of logs) nd it was fine.
