Thats Betsy in the middle just got her back from the garage today-fresh quarter chassis!

Looked like more than a quarter chassis when I saw it on the ramps. There was some very impressive welding going on by young Ben at the time. You might have spotted my new tipper in the yard as well.

Not loving my landy today, failed mot.

both front seat belts frayed and drop arm ball joint but i knew about that, the joint is fine but boot has been off for a month or three but just kept putting it off.

Seat belts are scare prices, nearly `100 quid each. there goes the piggy bank

get to the scrappers and find an old austin:lol:

Cheers lads.

It was originally white, all the inside still is, so I might take it back to that - who knows. Had a chat with the old owner today, turns out there has been two owners. First owner was Holly Branson (daughter of Sir Richard apparently) who used it for driving round their estate and feeding horses, and then this nice old chap who has only got rid of it because of the new emissions regs in London. Three folders full of paperwork, every MOT since it was registered, every invoice and owner history. Every bit of work he had done was with original Landrover parts.

Must admit, I'm more mud than polish, a steam clean at most!

if i had a quid for every time ive had that it would probably pay my insurance!

If you gave me a grand everytime someone asked me that I might be able to insure mine... just. The bane of being 18 :'(

I asked the insurance company about fitting a CAT 1 Thatcham/TOAD alarm and immobiliser fitted, see how much my premium would drop. It doesn't. Because it's a modification I would have to pay an extra £178! She refused to admit it would reduce the chance of it being stolen... :confused1::001_rolleyes:
